ROLL UP, ROLL UP!
There is a petition in the shop to get Beccles skate park fixed up, looking sharp. We need as many signatures as possible, so if you, anyone you know, parents, friends, girlfriends, pets use the park or do not want it signed off to the scrap, please come in and scribble your signature down.
The park is very well used, with excess of over 100 people using it on a good summer day. It would be a great loss to the town and its young people, especially the skaters obviously, if it was to go. Please come show your support, it only takes a minute!
Also, there shall be a meeting at the skatepark on the 7th April (Easter hols) with several councillors and council representatives who are involved in funding and other youth schemes. It is your opportunity to say what you would like to see at the park, what improvements you think should be made etc. There is a poster for this in the shop, if you wish for finer details.
More news on that nearer the time anyway.

Just a big thankyou to everyone who came down for the opening of Normanston skate park in Lowestoft yesterday. It was great to see so many people there and hopefully everyone had a brilliant time tearing the park up and enjoyed the free goodies!!
Special well done to all the comp entrants, and of course the winners. Chris Allcock took the gold and did us proud, good on ya boy!
Dunno if they'll ever read this, but if you do:- Chris Ames and Stuart Halsey need extra huge props for getting this thing off the ground and setting it in stone (or concrete as the case may be). They are the real people that we owe this park to, without them it wouldn't of been possible. Cheers guys!!
Photos hopefully kicking around soon, and you never now, now this is over with and months of preparation have payed off, maybe we'll finally get that t-shirt comp judged... watch this space!!

This Saturday we'll be screening the new Tiltmode video, which features skating from pretty much all the enjoi riders and loads more besides. Screening will start at 4:30. Also its my birthday so will prob all go down skatepark for a thrash round afterwards!
This Sunday we're sponsoring a skate jam at Leiston Skatepark as part of the Soundwaves Tour. The jam is on from 1-5 with the competition part likely to start around 2:30. There's also live bands playing on the green next to the park. Be there or be rectangular!!

Yo! We have the sexiest Burgandy Supra Vaiders ever arrived in store, they are soooooooooooo nice, I'm the teeniest little bit excited! Also, the special Supra Skytop in Duct tape super 'tuf' material and kola brown, and Supra Vegas in forest green. Yummy!
And...ENJOI!!! Fuzzy panda zip, sweet candy hood, wordsearch tee, CAT COLLAGE TEE, and kissy panda tee. They are utterly amazing! IT'S BEGUN...
After a successful trip to Ikea yesterday, got in the new shop today and started kitting it out, painting etc. It's amazing how much joy a glass cabinet can bring someone.
Soon Smash will be bigger, better and stronger than before, we've got an army of people (well, Tommy and Sharman) helping us get things sorted in time for the Hi Fi wheels premiere. If any one else wants to help your more than welcome!

Talking of competitions - the Smash tee comp is still waiting to be judged. We haven't forgotten about it, its just me and Ash have obviously been very busy lately, either waiting for Felix to arrive or in the last week getting used to how utterly amazing our little daughter is. The comp winner will be announced at the opening of the new shop, which hopefully should be by mid June. No definite dates yet, but fingers crossed it won't be any later than that!

EXTREME FOOT BELLY
Haven't done one of these for a while, so thought I'd give a little update.
Junior Spandangle is only an imminent 5 weeks away from arrival now, which is a bit exciting!! If you haven't seen me recently (me being Ellie, not Ash) I somewhat resemble a whale and am waddling around the shop with what looks like a heavy beach ball stuck up my top. Old Wrigglington is constantly hassling me and giving some rather impressive boots to the rib cage which are a bit painful, coupled with the lovely fake contractions which I keep getting. So if my face is often contorted into some rather unattractive grimaces that will be why.
Realised the other day that we've managed to agree to several weeks worth of work experience kiddies in the shop in the month or so after baby is due. Guess they're gonna have to brush up on their nappy changing skills!! Nice bit of free baby sitting...

Right, this is sooooo important. The planning application for the Normanston Skatepark is now being considered. I can't stress enough how important it is for you all to go and show your support for the application by leaving positive comments on the planning website. If the negative comments outweigh the positives then we could be facing the prospect of not having the park built!
Here's what you need to do:
- Click here to go to the site. Tick the 'I agree' box and click Submit.
- On the left navigation bar click Planning. Then click Application Search.
- In the Application Reference box type the following code:
DC/09/0224/RG3
- Click Search at the bottom of the page.
- Click the Click to view arrow.
- Click on the Submit Comments box and fill in the form. Make sure to click the do not object option.
This won't take very long to do but will make a world of difference to the future of the skatepark. Thankyou.
If any of you have any difficulties with this then email me here or come in the shop and I'll go through it with you on our computer.

The video is super rad - those Norwich boys are killing it!
Congratulations to Spex and thanks to Drift Skate Shop and everyone else who helped put this night on.
Is great to see people down for getting together to support and progress our local scene. Had new scan today, the dude is all fit and healthy and moving about like a mentalist. We've got a picture but my bloody scanner is broke so I'll upload it when I get home.
To keep the size of this blog down, more comp details will be announced tomorrow. But for now all I'll say is get your pencils sharpened and brush up on your Adobe skills!

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts but been away in Cornwall/Devon for a week and didn't get chance (was too lazy) to post anything on my travels. There's some seriously rad parks in that area so if you ever go there make sure to take your board! Massive £750,000 plaza to be built in Truro by April of this year - will put some pics up tomorrow for all those who are interested.

In other news, we got to see Baby Smash for the 2nd time today, which was very exciting. All seems well, except the little sod kept wriggling and getting the old spangdangle legs in front of the scan so we couldn't get a nice picture. He keeps kicking me as well. I reckon its some sort of unspoken, pre-organised conspiracy between him and Ash. The bastards. Dunno if he is actually a he, but for the ease of it that's what we're saying.

The next Lowestoft skatepark is this Thursday (16th) at 6:30 in the cafe at the bottom of Normanston Park.
We need to come up with a logo and name for the skatepark group so if you have any ideas then bring them along - the sooner we sort that out the sooner we can get on with designing the park!

As Ellie said, went Harlow yesterday for the Osiris Jam with Matt. Got to skate with James Brockman, Shuriken Shannon, Stu Graham, Jimmy Carlin, Marius Syvanen and last but not least Caswell Berry! UK team members Brandon Ide and Adam Moss were there too and killed it - Happy 21st Birthday Brandon!
Fully recommend everyone to go down and check that park out too as its hella rad. Photos tomorrow when I remember to bring my camera.

How does Ash do this? I've been running the shop today, and am so deprived of company it's unreal. Even the crazy bus lady might be welcome right now! Him and Matt Forster have gone to the new Harlow skate park/plaza thing near London for a demo by the Osiris team, starring Corey Duffel, John Rattray, Caswell Berry and more.
I checked the weather for there earlier though and it's 26oC. Gutted for them, I wouldn't be doing any physical activity in that heat!

Hey it's Ellie here, thought I'd write a blog and brighten everyones day, and also make up for Ash's lack of enthusiasm on the girls clothing front.
Well, it's been an eventful morning so far, we have drunk tea, and, uh, checked facebook, bought some biscuits...gonna do some coursework soon aswell...my, aren't we the excitable bunch! And basically, if you could all get off your lovely pert bottoms and come say hello, maybe even buy something, it would be greatly appreciated!
If you read the last few blogs you'll notice some pretty pictures of some girls- well, thats supposed to be advertising the fact that we have INSIGHT and NIKITA clothing in store now. im not sure if i can go on,slitting my wrists is the only way to rid me of this torture i hold in mind,why wasnt i her perfection? i hold my breathe at night and get high from the memories of her smile. i will not except thats its over.not so soon,i will see her in the city and tell her how i feel,im just not sure i can stand the pain for that long.i hope im still alive for the moment when she looks at me again and tells me once more,that she is mine.

Went skating at some rad bowls today. One in Matlock which was a lot of fun and would have been even better if my bearing hadn't popped!
Anyhoo, quick drop in to 100% skateshop in Matlock (nicey nice) and then off to Alfreton for some fun on a big plastic (thats right plastic!!) bowl/spine/midi affair.
Will post some photos when I'm back coz I'm a knob and forgot to take the damn wire with me.

Everyone who is about and wants something to do on Sunday should get over to the New Cut Theatre in Halesworth. There's a small thing going on, set up by local group BOUNCE which will give you opportunites/advice for young people to raise money for things you want to do/need in your town.
It starts at 10:30am, I'm gonna be there with videos and stuff, and Cloe will be there too.
Will most likely go Halesworth skatepark for session afterwards as well.
The theatre is near the train station.

Anyways, aint really got much to say, had nice skate at beccles park earlier - don't challenge tommy to an 'over the hip' game of skate coz he's got far too much heelflip skills.
Got the new Kingpin mag in - is a real treat with free stickers and a free element DVD containing the full euro vid, a raw edit of elementality and Brent Atchley's first pro section...this dude is absolutely incredible!!!! Buy it and see for yourselves!

Final Cut Yo! went down a treat at premiere last night - look out for photos very soon. Spex's Structure vid is hella good y'all and also has appearances from all the Smash Skates riders. Also on show was CKHD - Norfolk N Good - a local scene vid by Graham and his gang of Cockheads!

Had few people asking me about the Heroin vid recently - as far as I can tell ya will have it in by beginning of next week as well as the new double DVD from Consolidated. Death DVD should be here this week.
After proper caning myself at the weekend and gettin a treat of a palm slash have decided to set up an injuries page on the site. Gonna call it 'No Pain, No Gain' (if Benny B hasn't copyrighted the saying!!) so get sending them pics in!

Monday night me, Ben and Cloe went to the Ipswich premiere of Escape From Boredom - the latest offering from the guys at Death. Is really damn good - really makes you wanna go out and skate and have as much fun as they must have done filming this treat. Should be available to buy from next week.

Went to premiere of Heroin's latest offering Live From Antarctica. This vid is AMAZING!!! Have a list of about ten new tricks wanna learn now. Should be available for all you guys to buy sometime in November.

Back to School tour last weekend was a treat!! - Hammers went down at Albert Pye on Saturday, and then Lowestoft tour on Sunday - schools visited: Roman Hill Primary, Harris Middle, Meadow Primary (think that was it?). Roman Hill is now proper bust so might be one of the last sessions there.

One weekend in the not so distant future...skate as many schools as we can in a day - only rule is that you have to wear school uniform. Sharmacam as chief filmer, footage will appear on Smash DVD sometime at the end of the year.

Let me introduce myself...I'm Ash Lever, been skating for years and on 28 May opened up Smash Skates in Beccles - basically as somewhere more local than missioning all the way to Norwich/Ipswich to buy skate stuff.
